Basic PowerPoint template or customized?
There are many levels of PowerPoint templates. The free & basic template you find on the web, or within the software itself. Sometimes it may be enough for you. Most times, the style has been used a few thousand times. This quickie type of service can be rendered by most designers. A PowerPoint template with the pre-existing layouts unchanged, the colour palette being one from the pre-programmed defaults, fonts unchanged, and the company logo added in the bottom corner. This doesn’t require much insight into the user’s needs. It will work as a template, but somehow melds into the vast, identical-looking presentations out in cyberspace. Same backgrounds, same colours, same fonts, same layouts. Ug. Soporific.
